My research interests are in the area of entrepreneurship and development studies with a particular focus on youth, women, and creative industries in Africa. My research on entrepreneurship has focused on the importance of the developing country context for entrepreneurship motivations, aspirations, organizational forms, and resource and skills acquisition. Major research projects concern: Advancing Creative Industries for Development in Ghana (ACIG); Youth, Entrepreneurship and Employment in African Economies (YEMP); and Successful African Firms and Institutional Change (SAFIC).
