I have a background in International Relations and hold a MSc in International Business and Politics from CBS. My primary interest lies in the global political economy and governance of food and natural resources. I carry out research from the perspective of global value chain analysis, but also have a strong interest in and knowledge of the field of Political Ecology. I have research and working experience in Chile and East India, where I did fieldwork on smallholder production and local rice value chains.

My PhD is embedded in the PIPS research project which investigates dynamics of power and inequality in global production systems through a comparative case study of Chile and South Africa. As part of this, my project focuses on the wine and table grape production systems in Chile and is partly funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
